Here’s a recipe for Laap Moo, a traditional Thai dish made with minced pork:
Ingredients:
– 500g minced pork
– 2 tablespoons cooking oil
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 2 shallots, thinly sliced
– 1-2 red chillies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
– 1 tablespoon fish sauce
– Juice of 2 limes
– 1 tablespoon roasted rice powder (optional)
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic, shallots, and red chillies to the pan and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden.
3. Add the minced pork to the pan and continue cooking until it is browned and cooked through.
4. Once the pork is cooked, remove the pan from heat and let it cool slightly.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce and lime juice.
6. Pour the fish sauce and lime mixture over the cooked pork and mix well.
7. If desired, sprinkle the roasted rice powder over the pork and mix again. The rice powder adds texture to the dish.
8. Transfer the Laap Moo to a serving dish and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
9. Serve the Laap Moo warm with steamed rice or lettuce leaves for a wrap.
Enjoy your homemade Laap Moo!
