The Summit Inside: On Healing, Softness, and the Mountains We Carry

There was a time I chased summits.
The next milestone.
The next country.
The next version of myself.

Always forward. Always higher.
Driven by this quiet ache to become — something, someone, more.

But something shifted.

Not all at once.
Not with fireworks or some big breakdown.
But slowly — like rain softening dry earth.
Like breath returning to a body that forgot how to exhale.

Lately… I’ve been climbing inward.
Not to prove.
Not to perform.
Not even to heal, really.

Just to meet myself again.

The real me.
The quiet me.
The one beneath the striving.

I no longer crave the view from the top.
Instead, I sit with the quiet places in my heart —
The ones I used to bypass in the name of progress.

This time, I’m not planting a flag.
I’m planting tenderness.
Forgiveness.
Truth.

Because not all mountains live outside us.

Some?
We carry in our chest.

And when we choose to tend to those internal landscapes —
When we pause long enough to listen to the stories stored in our bones —
Everything shifts.

Not outwardly.
But deeply.
Lastingly.
Sacredly.

This is the journey no one sees.
The kind that doesn’t get applause or Instagram-worthy snapshots.
But it’s the kind that changes everything.

🌿

If you’re on a journey like this — a slow, tender, soul-first kind of climb — know you’re not alone.
We’re walking this path too, one gentle step at a time.

✨ Come find your circle inside the Slow Secrets Tribe.
We’re not chasing summits here. We’re coming home to ourselves — together.

With love,
Julie
