Inner Child & Wilderness – Day 3  Waterfast

Clarity doesn’t just arrive —
it pierces.

I feel the shift in my body — like the Earth just dropped a heavy stone,
and the ripples are everywhere, all at once.
My subconscious is no longer a shadow in the corner of my mind.
It’s fully here.
No filter. No facade.
Just raw presence.

I’ve stepped into the silence where everything is loud —
the birds, the wind, my heart.
And it’s in this deep silence that the forest speaks:

“Can you go deeper?”

I nod.
Not because I have the answers, but because I’m no longer afraid of the questions.
And so, I descend.

Into the deepest part of my soul —
the place where the buried things live,
where the unresolved grief waits like a forgotten memory.
Where the child that never got held is still standing,
eyes wide, hands open, waiting.

Suddenly, I am back in the woods of Luxembourg.
The memory floods me, and there she is —
my Oma, standing beside me.
The wind tugging at our hair as we walk, hand-in-hand,
the forest around us endless and soft.

That smell…
A scent like fresh mint, but older, ancient.
It fills my lungs as if I’ve known it forever.
A scent I’ve never met before —
but one I somehow remember, down to the smallest particle of my being.

I remember the child in me who danced in the sunlight,
who felt whole in the wilderness.
She’s still here, beneath the layers, beneath the years.
She’s never left.

This fast isn’t about food.
It’s about remembering.
About letting go of what I thought I needed,
and returning to what I’ve always known.

Today, I let the forest hold me.
Today, I let the child in me return home.

If you’ve ever felt the pull of your inner child, calling you back to a time of innocence, before the world told you who you should be —
