Music & Nature: Medicine for the Soul

Music and nature — two constants I could never live without. One feeds my soul. The other anchors my body. Together? They are pure medicine.

There’s something almost sacred about stepping into the worlds my DJ friends create. Visiting their spaces, I receive more than just playlists — I receive hours of care, curation, and ritual. Each track is chosen, layered, and woven together like alchemy. Songs that aren’t on Shazam. Tracks you feel in your chest before your ears. Gifts that cannot be bought, only received.

It reminds me that the most profound experiences in life aren’t always tangible. They’re the ones that move us, shift us, and hold us when we need it most.

Music lifts me. Softens me. Carries me through transitions and opens doors I didn’t even know I needed. And when I step into nature alongside it — whether barefoot on a beach, wandering through a forest, or watching a waterfall cascade — the medicine multiplies. The body exhales. The nervous system relaxes. The heart remembers how to play, to wonder, to be fully alive.

I am endlessly grateful to those who share their sound magic. To the people who dig crates, mix hours into art, and give it freely: I hear you. I feel you. I dance because of you.
