Have you ever noticed how quickly ego can step into a conversation, uninvited?
One minute, you’re in flow—a soulful exchange about a painting, a meal, an idea that feels alive.
Then suddenly, boom—ego steps in.
A shift in tone.
A wall goes up.
Now it’s about being right, or proving something, or defending a story that doesn’t need defending.
I’ve seen it in myself.
I’ve seen it in others.
In negotiations, in love, in the simplest of exchanges.
Ego thrives on certainty.
But true connection lives in curiosity.
And that’s what I’m learning to lean into.
Now, I pause.
I breathe.
I notice the edge before I slip into needing to “win.”
Let the meal be shared.
Let the art speak.
Let the soul stay in the room.
This is the practice.
This is the shift.
If you feel called to explore deeper ways of connecting—with yourself and others—come join us in the Slow Secrets Tribe.
Here, we create space to pause, to listen, and to connect from a place of true presence.
